Stoke City have this afternoon completed the signing of Liverpool winger Oussama Assaidi on a season-long loan.

The 25 year-old Moroccan international completed a successful medical this morning before shaking hands on the deal.

His arrival inevitably casts questions marks over Stoke's interest in QPR winger Junior Hoilett.

It also raises the possibility that Michael Kightly is available as Stoke now have five frontline wingers currently at their disposal.

Assaidi made his name in Holland with De Graafschap and then Heerenveen before moving to Liverpool last summer for a fee believed to be just over £2m

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers hailed him as an exciting talent who would delight the fans.
