Stoke City are actively seeking loan moves for a clutch of their future first-team hopefuls like Harry Souttar, Ollie Shenton and Danny Jarvis.

The club is anxious to toughen them up in the lower leagues to try and catapult them towards the fringes of the first team at Stoke.

The door is open to loan them out during the January window now that the club has exited the Checkatrade Trophy following Wednesday’s defeat at Bury.

And the coaching staff are using Tom Edwards as a marker for the youngsters following his recent Premier League debut.

“They are in the window,” says under-23 boss Glyn Hodges. “People will be watching it and even Bury themselves.
