DeMar DeRozan missed his ninth career game Monday and it’s unclear when he’ll be able to return.

“I talk to him every day all the time. I talked to him this morning. He feels fine, just trying to get healthy,” teammate Kyle Lowry said at shootaround.

Pressed whether DeRozan’s ankle, injured when he stepped on the foot of Clippers forward Hedo Turkoglu Saturday, was swollen, Lowry wouldn’t bite.

“He’s just trying to get healthy. It’s just a matter of time.”

Toronto’s leading scorer did not make the trip to Brooklyn and Casey said he didn’t yet know what the timetable on a return will be.

“He said it’s feeling better so we’ll see where he is,” Casey said.

In his absence, Casey said others would be tasked with raising their games.

“Guys want opportunities, that’s what this league is about,” Casey said.
