"Angelo Esposito was taken 20th overall in the 2007 entry draft by the Pittsburgh Penguins and has struggled since then to live up that billing.
The Stars believe he still has a chance to make something of himself.
Dallas on Friday traded Ondrej Roman to Florida for Esposito in a swap of minor leaguers who just haven't panned out. Both turn 23 in February and both have struggled to find the right fit. Roman has 1 goal and 4 assists for 5 points in 24 games with the Texas Stars this season. Esposito has 2 goals and 3 assists for 5 points in 16 games with San Antonio.
This is basically giving two kids a fresh start. We'll see how it works. Esposito will report immediately to the Texas Stars."
