"The Star made a no-risk, high-potential deal in the acquisition of center Angelo Esposito from the Florida organization Friday.
Esposito, a heralded player at the juniors level, was taken by Pittsburgh with the 20th overall pick in the 2007 draft. He has since struggled with knee injuries and the burden of being a first-round choice. The Stars are his fifth organization.
"When you're young and dealing with the expectations, it can be tough," Stars general manager Joe Nieuwendyk said. "When he was in the juniors, he did a lot of things that we liked. We'll get him on a good developmental program and see where it goes.""
