"The annual winter train of prospect rankings continued on Wednesday night as MLB.com released its list of top 100 prospects in the game.

Center fielder Bubba Starling, the Royals' first-round pick in 2011, came in at No. 17, leading a group of four Royals prospects in the top 50.

Outfielder Wil Myers was ranked 19th; left-handed starter Mike Montgomery came in at No. 31; and right-handed starter Jake Odorizzi was slotted in at No. 47.

The MLB.com list came nearly a week after Baseball America published its list of the top 10 prospects in the Royals' system. That list included the same top four, but in different order: 1. Montgomery; 2. Starling; 3. Myers; 4. Odorizzi. "
