"Donte' Stallworth's rehabilitation is going smoothly, and the Ravens wide receiver said he still plans on returning after the team's bye week on Oct. 31.
"It's going good," Stallworth said Friday. "I'm making progress every day. I feel like I'm right on schedule, and I'm feeling pretty good. So I'm looking forward to getting in after that bye week. That was the initial target date, and that's still the target date. Hopefully, everything goes as planned."
Stallworth broke the fifth metatarsel in his left foot while running a route in the team's third preseason game against the New York Giants on Aug. 21 and underwent surgery nine days later. He's been running and lifting weights, but he has yet to step onto the practice field.
"Everything's been week by week so far," he said. "They pretty much give me a plan for the week and then I go out there and progress towards that goal. Pretty much, I've made all of my expectations and surpassed some of the goals as well. Every day is a progression of its own, and we're going week by week. … I figure that I could be on the field doing some running, but who knows? I'll get that plan on Monday."
Physically, Stallworth is feeling optimistic. Not feeling tentative with the foot is perhaps his biggest mental hurdle."
