Milan Hejduk seems to be all about hockey. Except when the skates come off. Away from the rink, his drink of choice is the very unhockey-ish green tea. At home, the Avalanche captain almost never watches a hockey game on TV. If he isn't watching one of only three channels — Animal Planet, Discovery or History — he most likely will be reading a book, and not just on a tablet device either, though he does have one.

"Most guys on the plane will be playing cards, watching movies or playing video games. But Milan, he's usually in the back, with some 1,000-page leather-bound book in his hands," said Avalanche winger David Jones, a teammate of Hejduk's the past five seasons.
