"The Buffalo Bills only hope there are many more weekends like the ones C.J. Spiller enjoyed the last half of the season. He ran free and easy, slashing off tackle, sprinting past slower defenders and even lowering the boom at times over larger ones.
Spiller reminded a lot of people of his enormous gifts and promise. The Bills have said again and again the past two years that he can be one of the NFL's best running backs. He has Chris Johnson's size and Reggie Bush's speed, and there's no reason he can't be the kind of impact player that scores touchdowns and wins games.
Asked if his play in place of the injured Fred Jackson was surprising, Spiller nonchalantly said: "I think the coaches knew all along what I was capable of doing.""
