Former White Sox great Jack McDowell is reportedly back in professional baseball.

McDowell, who won the 1993 American League Cy Young award as a member of the White Sox, said on his Facebook page he has accepted an assignment to manage in the Los Angeles Dodgers’ farm system.

Last month, McDowell, who said he would manage the Ogden Raptors of the Rookie Pioneer League in 2014, attended the winter meetings in hopes he would return to baseball either as a coach or as a television analyst.
