The new Saints boss has seen a swathe of his squad leave for the Premier League's tops teams, with Liverpool signing Dejan Lovren, Rickie Lambert and Adam Lallana, Manchester United buying 19-year-old Luke Shaw and Arsenal securing a deal for Calum Chambers.

Chambers joined the FA Cup winners for an undisclosed fee, but according to reports the Gunners have shelled out £16m for the versatile defender.

The 19-year-old has signed a long-term contract with the Gunners, and becomes the club's third signing of the summer.

It means Koeman will be looking to fill the holes in his squad left by the departures, with Morgan Schneiderlin and Jay Rodriguez also linked with moves to Liverpool, Tottenham and their north London rivals Arsenal.
