Multiple baseball sources have told Phillies Insider Jim Salisbury that the Phillies will remove the "interim" label from Ryne Sandberg's job title on Sunday and name the Hall of Fame second baseman the club's full-time manager.

Since replacing Charlie Manuel on Aug. 16 Sandberg has managed the Phillies to an 18-16 record.

Sandberg is in his third year in the Phillies' organization. He spent the previous two seasons as the manager of the Triple A Lehigh Valley IronPigs posting a record of 155-132. He also led the IronPigs to their first playoff appearance.
