"Since the season's end, one of the biggest questions facing the Dolphins has centered around whether linebacker Joey Porter's tenure in Miami will be cut short within the next few months, two seasons before his contract is set to expire.
The decision -- which will take into consideration his salary, his age, his production and his polarizing presence in the locker room -- now has a new set of circumstances to deliberate: Porter, 32, isn't happy.
When the season concluded, Porter met with coach Tony Sparano to discuss a number of issues that bothered him, according to sources. Those issues, among others, involved the way and the amount that he was utilized.
While the sides are working toward sorting out the situation, Sparano said Wednesday from the Senior Bowl in Mobile that a decision about whether Porter will be back in Miami for the 2010 season has not yet been made."
