Aston Villa and Leicester City are both competing to sign FC Nantes midfielder Jordan Veretout.

The 22-year-old, who contributed to 44 per-cent of the Ligue One side's goals last term, is expected to fly over to England in the next 48 hours as he decides on a move.

Villa are hoping he will join the French Revolution currently taking shape in B6 and are prepared to pay around £10m for his services.

Meanwhile Jordan Ayew made his debut as a substitute in the 2-2 draw with Wolves tonight while Idrissa Gueye and Jordan Amavi also played 90 minutes.

Emmanuel Adebayor is expected to undergo a medical at Bodymoor Heath tomorrow after having a guided tour of the training facility today.
