"Assuming the Sixers are able to retain restricted free agents Thaddeus Young and Spencer Hawes, their roster will have 13 players. They have now added that free agent body to make it 14, according to a source. Veteran Tony Battie is returning to the team for a second straight season.

The 13-year veteran appeared in 39 regular season games last year and played in all five playoff games. In the games he played, he averaged 10 minutes, scoring 2.6 points and collecting 2.6 rebounds per game."
