"Jaguars head coach Jack Del Rio has been fired in his ninth season, and defensive coordinator Mel Tucker is the interim head coach, according to a source.

Del Rio replaced Tom Coughlin in 2003 and was the longest tenured head coach in the NFL, tied with Cincinnati's Marvin Lewis. Del Rio only had one playoff win -- in 2007 against the Steelers -- and two playoff appearances in his nine seasons. He finished with a record of 68-71 as the Jaguars head coach.

The Jaguars started this season 3-8 and were eliminated from contention in the AFC South with a loss to Houston on Sunday."
