"Chicago Cubs outfielder Alfonso Soriano hasn't been rumored to be on the trading block because his eight-year contract still has three years and $54 million remaining on it.

Any talk about teams being interested is purely speculation at this point. There aren't many teams that would take on that kind of financial commitment, especially from an aging power hitter who hasn't homered since June 19 and is 1-for-18 (.056) to start the second half.

Soriano said before Tuesday's game that he doesn't think at all about being traded.
