Skins' LaRon Landry sidelined by sore Achilles' tendon

"Washington Redskins strong safety LaRon Landry missed practice on Wednesday because of a sore left Achilles' tendon. It's the same Achilles that forced Landry to miss the final seven weeks of last season and kept him from earning his first trip to the Pro Bowl.

Asked when Landry suffered the setback, coach Mike Shanahan said, "It was sore today, so we kept him out [of practice]. We'll see how he feels tomorrow."

Last season, Landry had posted 85 tackles, an interception, a sack and a forced fumble in nine weeks of action, often playing with the strained Achilles. Finally it became difficult for him to even walk without pain. "
