Siena’s Rob Poole scored 23 points and Brett Bisping added 20 points as Saints easily defeated Fresno State 81-68 in Game 3 to win the College Basketball Invitational title before a crowd of 2,788 at the Alumni Recreation Center this afternoon.

Siena (20-18) won the best-of-3 finals to earn its first national postseason championship since joining the ranks of Division I in 1976-77.

The Saints also won the National Catholic Invitational in 1950.

Marquis Wright added 12 points for Siena, which never trailed and led by 22 points in the second half.

Tyler Johnson scored 20 points for Fresno State of the Mountain West Conference, which finished the season at 21-18.
