Sidney Lowe got a second continuation for his court date for tax evasion charges Wednesday morning.

The Wake County tax case was rescheduled for July 31, his attorney, Lee Turner confirmed Wednesday.

Lowe, 53, was arrested Feb. 18 and charged for failure to file and pay state income tax in the years 2009, 2010 and 2011.

It is unclear how much he owes the state of North Carolina in taxes. Lowe had a base salary of about $210,000 annually and his total compensation was about $900,000 at N.C. State.

Lowe, who still owns a home in Wake Forest, was the point guard on the Wolfpack’s 1983 national title team and return to coach his alma mater in 2006. Lowe went 86-78 in five seasons, until he resigned after the 2010-11 season, and is now an assistant for the Utah Jazz in the NBA.

At the time of Lowe’s misdemeanor charge in February, an unsecured bond was set at $10,000 and Lowe was released without payment but a written promise to appear in court. His original court date was March 19, when it was rescheduled for Wednesday.
