"Mark Teixeira isn't too worried that the jammed right shoulder that forced him out of last night's game is a serious injury.
"I am not concerned. It's a general ache, not a shooting pain," Teixeira said.
Teixeira, who went 1-for-3 with a single in the fifth, left the game for pinch-hitter Eric Chavez in the eighth.
The first baseman said he originally suffered the injury Tuesday night in the third inning when he dove for a ball and tried to turn a 3-6-3 double play but had to settle for an out at first.
"Right away I knew I jammed it," Teixeira said. "But in the middle of a game the adrenaline takes over. [Yesterday] in batting practice I felt it. We will see how it feels [today].""
