It'll be at least a week before the seriousness of the injury is known and whether it requires surgery.

Spezza was injured in the second period of Sunday's game against the Penguins when Kris Letang checked him headfirst into the boards.

But he figures his shoulder will be OK without surgery.

He's never hurt a shoulder before so he's in uncharted territory.

He thinks the hit by Letang was "a little bit" dirty and is frustrated with the way the year has gone."
