"The Sharks have acquired 26-year-old left wing Ben Eager from the Atlanta Thrashers for a fifth-round pick in the NHL entry draft.
Known more for his rugged style of play than his scoring touch, the 6-foot-2, 227-pound Eager has three goals, seven assists and 77 penalty minutes in 34 games this season.
Eager played parts of the previous three seasons with the Chicago Blackhawks and had one goal, two assists and 20 penalty minutes in 18 games during that team's Stanley Cup run last spring."
