Nobody can begrudge Ryan Vogelsong for losing Wednesday night. He had not lost since May 3 and held a combustible Angels lineup to three runs in seven innings.
Still, after Jered Weaver and three relievers held the Giants to four singles in a 6-0 victory, Vogelsong was hard on himself.
"For me to have people believe I'm for real, I have to win these games against guys like Weaver and (Clayton) Kershaw, the No. 1's on other teams," he said. "For people to start thinking last year wasn't a fluke, those are the games I need to win."
SF Giants shut out for 3rd time in Weaver's return
