The Reds have revived their interest in Spain left-back Moreno after appearing to reach an impasse with Sevilla earlier this summer, and, as talkSPORT told you earlier on Monday, forward Aspas could be used as a makeweight in the deal.

Moreno, 22, featured prominently last season as Sevilla claimed the Europa League crown and Emery is desperate to work with him again next season - but admits he is bracing himself for the youngster’s departure.

He told Estadio Deportivo: "I see him as a Sevillista, and hopefully he will stay at Sevilla. We count on him, I hope to improve Alberto, he took a major leap and we have to work with him to help him to continue to improve.

"If something comes up during the transfer market we are prepared for any eventuality."
