The Winnipeg Jets still don’t know how severe Toby Enstrom’s shoulder injury is or how long it will keep him out of the lineup.

Enstrom was injured early in the first period of Friday’s 3-1 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins and didn’t return. He won’t be in the lineup when the Jets host the Boston Bruins on Sunday night at MTS Centre.

“He has a shoulder issue that will put him out for a little while,” head coach Claude Noel said after Saturday’s practice at MTS Iceplex. “We don’t know exactly how long we have to wait for the results of the MRI, which is happening today, so we’ll know more of that tomorrow.”

The Jets (5-7-1) have lost two in a row and three straight at home, and Noel is doing all he can to keep his troops happy.

“We’re facing some adversity and have been for some time, so this is just another adverse moment for us,” he said. “The thing we’re going to find out about ourselves is we have to stay together, and we have to support the way that we play. And we have to continue to play hard. That’s really what we have to do.

“It’s been tough, tough for the players. We’re not enjoying this stuff, so you have to try to find ways to keep up the enthusiasm.”
