No. 2 Arizona is the only Pac-12 team in the top 25 rankings, however the bracket gurus project 7-6 teams from the conference will participate in the NCAA tournament.

Jerry Palm at CBSsports.com projects seven Pac-12 teams in the tourney. Here’s list list including seeds and region in parenthesis: Arizona (1-west), UCLA (7-south), Stanford (8-midwest), California (10-est), Colorado (10-west), Arizona State (11-south) and Oregon (11-west).

ESPN’s Joe Lunardi estimates a half dozen Pac-12 teams will go dancing: Arizona (1-west), UCLA (6-south), Stanford (9-midwest), Colorado (10-midwest), California (10-west) and Arizona State (10-south).

SI.com’s Michael Beller’s NCAA tourney forecast includes six Pac-12 teams: Arizona (1-west), UCLA (7-midwest), Stanford (9-midwest), Arizona State (9-east), California (10-east) and Colorado (12-midwest).

Palm’s projections seem a bit optimistic as it pertains to Oregon considering the Ducks are 10th in the Pac-12 standings with a 3-8 record.

With four weeks and seven games remaining in the regular season, Washington will need to make a serious push to warrant NCAA tournament consideration. The Huskies (13-11 and 5-6) are locked in a three-way tie with Utah and Oregon State for seventh in the conference standings.

Time is running out on Washington. Any chance to earn a NCAA tourney at-large berth will probably require the Huskies to finish the the regular season with a 7-0 or 6-1 run. And even that might not be enough. Washington may still need a couple of games in the Pac-12 Tournament to buff up a battered resume.
