Marc Staal (twisted left knee) missed his third straight game Tuesday night and coach John Tortorella acknowledged the All-Star defenseman suffered a "little bit" of a setback when he had to leave the ice toward the end of Monday's practice.

"We think he's close but he's just not right," said Tortorella, adding he was not sure if Staal would be able to play Thursday against the Wild.

Tortorella is hoping left wing Ruslan Fedotenko (left shoulder) will be able to return Thursday after missing his second straight game. Fedotenko participated in the team's optional morning skate but still is having some trouble shooting.
