Senators goalie Craig Anderson suffered an undisclosed injury in Tuesday's loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Whether it will keep him from playing in the immediate future is uncertain.

"We hope it's not that severe," coach Cory Clouston said after Wednesday's practice. "I don't think it is."

Asked if it's something that would prevent Anderson from dressing for Thursday's home game against the red-hot New Jersey Devils, Clouston said: "We hope not. We'll see tomorrow."

The Senators may go with Curtis McElhinney against the Devils either way. Anderson was peppered with 41 Penguins shots and has clearly not been as sharp in his last two outings. His previously outrageous save percentage has taken a severe hit and now sits at .909, as he has surrendered nine goals over the last 58 shots he has faced.

This, after Anderson was beaten just 13 times in his first nine games as a Senator.
