Secondary backups get opportunity for Bengals

"The Bengals listed 16 players as not expected to play before Thursday's preseason finale against Indianapolis, including the entire starting secondary of cornerbacks Leon Hall and Nate Clements and safeties Chris Crocker and Reggie Nelson.

That gave backups fighting for roster spots plenty of playing time in the Bengals' 17-13 loss.

Morgan Trent, Jonathan Wade, Gibril Wilson and Taylor Mays started against the Colts.

Mays left the game in the second quarter with a right knee injury. The second-year player acquired 10 days ago in a trade from San Francisco was beaten and called for pass interference on the Colt's first offensive play, but rebounded and was credited with a pair of tackles and one pass breakup before he left the game."
