"The Vikings spent their off day Tuesday making a bevy of roster moves in which they shut down several key players with five games left in a disastrous season.

Wide receiver Michael Jenkins (knee), safety Husain Abdullah (concussion), safety Tyrell Johnson (hamstring) and long snapper Cullen Loeffler (lower back) were placed on injured reserve.

The biggest name among the free-agent replacements is safety Jarrad Page, a six-year NFL veteran who has 247 tackles and 12 interceptions with the Kansas City Chiefs, New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles."
