The Seattle Seahawks may be without their hard-hitting safety in the defensive backfield for the second straight week. Head coach Pete Carroll told reporters on Wednesday that Earl Thomas is doubtful when the team travels to take on the Arizona Cardinals for Thursday Night Football.

Thomas was also ruled out for last Sunday’s game against the Washington Redskins due to a lingering hamstring injury, one he suffered during the fourth quarter of Week 8 against the Houston Texans.

Carroll had Thomas as a game-time decision earlier in the week; but seeing as though Thomas missed practice all week, it’ll be tough to turn around on short rest and gear up for a road game.

Thomas’ 2016 season came to an end late in the year when he suffered a gruesome leg injury, one which had him contemplating retirement.
