The Seattle Seahawks have done their own investigating into the allegations of assault and personal property damage against running back Marshawn Lynch and have come to a conclusion. They're not buying them.

From a Seahawks spokesperson:

While we maintain the utmost respect for the investigative process, after speaking with Marshawn, we are comfortable these accusations are bogus.

Yes, they said bogus. Somehow, with Lynch involved, that word choice seems apropos.

This is obviously good news for the team and for Lynch and very well could be the end of this case. The Bellevue (Wash.) police statement was very vaguely worded about the investigation, and did not name Lynch specifically as a suspect, which certainly cast some doubt on the validity of the charges.
