Following a less-than-auspicious NHL debut, there seemed to be some doubt at the time whether there should be a second game for Brent Seabrook.

The young defenseman was on the ice for two Ducks' goals during their 5-3 victory over the Blackhawks on Oct. 5, 2005 and the assembled media had some questions for then-coach Trent Yawney.

"I remember all the reporters were asking Trent if I belonged in the NHL and he stuck by me," Seabrook recalled Saturday. "I was listening to all the media stuff afterward and he really had my back. The next game I was lucky enough to have four assists."

Those four assists came against the Sharks, the team the Hawks will face Sunday night at the United Center in what is scheduled to be Seabrook's 500th career game.
