"Detroit Lions coach Jim Schwartz officially has named Daunte Culpepper the starter for Sunday's game against Arizona.

Quarterback Matthew Stafford missed all week of practice with a left shoulder injury and likely will not play against the Cardinals.

Even though Culpepper has failed to generate a touchdown in his past two starts, Schwartz indicated Monday after a 48-3 loss to Baltimore that Culpepper would remain the No. 2 quarterback behind Stafford and ahead of Drew Stanton.

In Culpepper's past two starts, the Lions have been outscored, 74-3. Culpepper said he is aware of the criticism about his lack of production but that he has tried to not let it affect him. "
