"The drama might have been on the South Course at Torrey Pines on Sunday, but there was action on the North Course as well, some of it involving golfers even more famous than those in the Farmers Insurance Open.
Not famous because of their golfing skill, mind you, although former Padres second baseman Mark Loretta showed some pretty good game while nearly making an eagle on the 18th hole.
Loretta, Padres manager Bud Black and current and former Chargers such as Takeo Spikes, Nate Kaeding, Nick Novak, Hank Bauer and David Binn all participated in a fundraiser for the Boys and Girls Club of San Dieguito."
