Don't let the curmudgeons win, Yasiel Puig. Keep on flipping your bat gloriously, if indiscriminately. Nobody flips his bat with more panache than Puig, a young Los Angeles Dodgers star who grew up in Cuba, where they have more panache than anyone could know what to do with. Sometimes in Major League Baseball, surly opponents of panache mistakenly construe Puig's entertaining antics (and those of others like him) to be disrespectful of the game. Not only are these so-called purists mistaken, but GO TO BED.

Appeals to Puig's better showman might be too late, however, because he told the media he's going to limit his bat flips going forward.
