Marc Savard missed out on the Bruins' run to the Stanley Cup, playing just 25 games this season while suffering from postconcussion syndrome that has jeopardized his career.

But his teammates made a point to mention him often during their 25-game postseason journey to their first championship since 1972. And yesterday, the playmaking center joined them in their "rolling rally'' through the city.

"It was tough watching sometimes and not being out there, but in the same sentence, I'm happy for the organization and the staff and everyone who put the time in and got rewarded this year,'' said Savard, who spoke with reporters before the Bruins boarded the Duck Boats at TD Garden.
