"Johan Santana resumed his comeback from a torn capsule in his shoulder with a rehab start Saturday afternoon for the Class A Port St. Lucie Mets against Palm Beach. Santana threw 30 pitches, 21 of them for strikes, during two innings of work. He gave up three hits, one run and no walks and struck out two batters.
Santana is expected to make another rehab start on Friday. Manager Terry Collins said that if everything progresses as expected, Santana could potentially start a major league game before the end of the season."
