Everton are monitoring developments with Sevilla midfielder Steven N'Zonzi.

The France international has fallen out with coach Eduardo Berizzo after being substituted against Liverpool in the Champions League tie last month.

N'Zonzi has reportedly been forced to train alone and was left out of the squads to face Villarreal and Cartagena.

Everton's new manager Sam Allardyce believes his midfield lacks bite and will assess his options as the January window draws closer.

Allardyce is aware of N'Zonzi's qualities from his time at Blackburn and subsequently watched the 28-year-old develop at Stoke City prior to his move to Spain.
