At least for now, running back Chris Ivory will remain with the New Orleans Saints. The bruising tailback signed his restricted free agent tender Friday afternoon giving him a one-year, $2.023 million contract for the 2013 season.

With Ivory visiting the Jets a couple of weeks ago, though, the possibility of trading Ivory to the Jets could still be an option if the Saints are looking for another draft pick in return. NFL teams have until 10:59 p.m. Friday to sign restricted free agents from another team to an offer sheet.

It was highly unlikely the Jets would be willing to give up the No. 39 overall pick as the compensation for signing Ivory would have been a second-round pick. But the New York Daily News reported the Jets would be willing to trade for Ivory at the right price. | The Times-Picayune confirmed Friday night the Jets are still very interested in trading for Ivory, according to a source.
