"New York Giants punter Steve Weatherford has become a celebrity these past two weeks, thanks to his role in the Giants' dramatic 20-17 overtime victory in the NFC championship game. And he's loving every minute of it.

"Ten years from now, nobody's gonna care about me, and now everyone thinks you're so special. So I'm enjoying it," said Weatherford, who began his career with the New Orleans Saints in 2006 before being cut midway through the 2008 season and bouncing around to four other teams.

Weatherford earned instant fame two weeks ago, first for his performance on the field, when he handled a low snap and set up kicker Lawrence Tynes' game-winning 31-yard field goal.
