"Saints kicker Garrett Hartley, whose soccer-angled right foot put New Orleans into Superdome XLIV with an overtime kick and then set a Super Bowl record by nailing three field goals of more than 40 yards, will be out at least six weeks and possibly as many as 10, according to a league source.

Hartley suffered a hip flexor while converting an extra point in the Saints' 40-20 victory over Oakland last Sunday. He did not return, although he indicated in the locker room after the game he hoped the injury would not prove serious."
