"Tyler Ennis, at times, can be the Sabres' top playmaker. He's shifty, has speed and knows how to pass.
Now that he's playing center, Ennis hopes he'll have the puck more and show those skills. It might help Buffalo sustain an offensive attack.
Ennis, who'd been out since reinjuring his left ankle Dec. 17, returned to the lineup Tuesday night for the Sabres' 3-1 victory over to Montreal. In a change, the erstwhile left winger skated at center in the middle of right wing Drew Stafford and left wing Nathan Gerbe.
"I can play center, and I'm excited to," Ennis said in Bell Centre. "Maybe they just want a little change or switch it up a bit. I'm comfortable with it, and they're comfortable with it. It's going to be fun.""
