"The Buffalo Sabres agreed to multiyear contracts with defenseman Andrej Sekera and forward Matt Ellis, general manager Darcy Regier announced today in a press release. Terms of the deals were not announced.

Sekera was due for salary arbitration Monday. He appeared in 76 games for the Sabres last season, recording career highs in assists (26) and points (29). In two playoff games, Sekera added one goal and four penalty minutes. He has 67 points (12-55) in 233 career games."
