Maybe the Padres should move the fences back.

Ryan Braun, who wouldn't have been playing Monday night had he not won his appeal of a 50-game suspension, became the first player to hit three home runs in a game at Petco Park, leading the Milwaukee Brewers to a 8-3 victory over the Padres.

Braun's homers covered a total of 1,206 feet and came on consecutive at-bats in the fourth, fifth and seventh innings.

In the ninth, Braun tripled to right-center, one-hopping the fence – giving him 15 total bases and six RBI for the game. The six runs batted in matched his career-high set on May 6, 2009.

Braun is the first major league to hit three homers and a triple in the same game since Fred Lynn of the Boston Red Sox on June 18, 1975.
