It's been a tough month for Rutgers, especially in recruiting. They've seen multiple commits change their plans and proclaim to go elsewhere -- none bigger than Saeed Blacknall.

They did, however, land quarterback Giovanni Rescigno.

He seems to bit of an undercover prospect, not playing until his senior year at De La Salle in Michigan because he was sitting behind now-Michigan quarterback Shane Morris.

He had a low-rated profile among the recruiting services to match. Rivals has him as a two-star recruit.

Recruiting ratings being what they are, at least there is some good news for Rutgers. Rescigno got a significant bump from ESPN. He is now rated a four-star prospect by ESPN's recruiting services.
