"When Tim Ruskell took over the Seahawks in 2005, he inherited a head coach. He made some roster adjustments to a team that had potential. And the Seahawks went to the Super Bowl.

If he takes over the Bears in 2012, he will be in a similar situation.

"If not for some of the tweaks and changes he made to that Seahawks team, I'm not sure we get to the Super Bowl in 2005," Tod Leiweke said of Ruskell drafting linebackers Lofa Tatupu (2005 defensive rookie of the year, Pro Bowler) and Leroy Hill (7.5 sacks, Pro Bowler), and acquiring veterans such as receiver Joe Jurevicius (10 touchdowns) and defensive end Bryce Fisher (nine sacks)."
