"The Blue Jackets' decision to take a one-day break from training camp yesterday had no direct link to the massive suspension handed down to defenseman James Wisniewski by the NHL on Monday.
But everybody on the club needed a day to digest the fact that Wisniewski — one of the club's two big-ticket, offseason acquisitions — will be off the ice until Oct. 25.
The management and coaching staffs spent the day charting a short-term plan for the rest of the Blue Jackets and a long-term plan for Wisniewski."
