The Kansas City Royals have signed former Atlanta Braves prospect Yefri Del Rosario, according to a report from MLB.com’s Jesse Sanchez.

Del Rosario, an 18-year-old right-handed pitcher, was one of 13 prospects that were stripped from the Braves after an investigation revealed that Atlanta’s organization had circumvented international signing guidelines. The investigation resulted in the lifetime suspension of general manager John Coppolella on November 21. Coppolella originally resigned in early October before being banned.

The deal for Del Rosario is worth $650,000.
